John has over 20 years of experience with software development organizations. He has a proven track record in start-up and early stage companies, as well as in more mature technology organizations. In his role, John will help lead the Development, IT and QA groups at Recognia.
Prior to Recognia, John was Vice President of Product Development at Watchfire, Inc., which developed the AppScan family of security products, in 2000. Watchfire was acquired by IBM in 2007 at which point he became the Program Director of Security Products at IBM.
Mr. Shortt attended the University of Toronto where he received a Bachelor’s degree, with honours, in Computer Science and Mathematics.
