Watch lists provide a basket of stocks for the system to monitor throughout the trading day. Some watch lists are static lists of symbols, perhaps your own symbol list or the constituents of an index. Some watch lists are updated based on end of day price and volume data to focus on actively traded stocks or those that are in favorable long term trends. Then using the data, the intraday events pinpoint today’s trade opportunities within those stocks.
