The educational material summarizes common literature on chart patterns to deliver knowledge that is not only useful in working with Recognia research, but also increases the trader’s independent research abilities. Recognia casts a wide net when identifying chart patterns because different technical analysts are more or less rigid in applying requirements for certain pattern characteristics. We prefer to notify traders of possible patterns and allow them to use their knowledge to further evaluate the situation. For example, volume is taken into consideration along with several other attributes for identifying patterns (symmetry, duration, noise) however volume is a "soft" criteria, not a "hard" requirement.
