This is a very common question that is probably best answered by explaining the current timing of Intraday Trader. Today Intraday Trader analyzes 15 minute bar charts in real time. Because our analysis is based on 15 minute bars, we are not doing analysis as ticks come in.
Target price ranges are only available for classic chart patterns such as double top, head and shoulders, triangles, etc.
Some screens are tagged by Recognia, particularly the featured screens, but most are tagged by other investors and traders who use Strategy Builder. Tagging provides one more way to filter through all of the pre-built strategies to discover one that suits your own personal style and objectives.
Investors using Strategy Builder have the ability to share their screens with the rest of the community. You share yours, somebody else will share theirs, and we all benefit. Presently there’s no name or handle that identifies who the author is.
The testing is accurate based on the methodology used. The selection process at each rebalancing is the same as that used in the Screener, using point-in-time data for the date of rebalancing.
The methodology for the backtesting is a 3-month buy and hold strategy.The test is run for 5 years, ending on the most recent Friday.So for example, a test run on April 27, 2011 will run for the 5 year window starting Friday April 28, 2006 to Friday April 22, 2011.It will run its first screen for

Backtesting is performed on a 5 year window on the latest available data, which means the 5 year window changes from week to week.
Strategies can have vastly different returns depending on the timeframe being evaluated. For example, while writing this response I am looking at a strategy called High Return on Equity.
This is the Revenue growth rate. Growing revenue is clear evidence of a viable business. You can see actual revenue figures in the data table at the bottom of the page when you pull up the report on a particular stock.
This is the Earnings per Share (EPS) growth rate. Higher growth reflects good fiscal management and is generally better, exponentially due to the compounding effect on stock price over the years.
